TXADONA is the Texas Chapter of the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration (NADONA) and aims to be the leading professional organization for current and aspiring nurse leaders in Long Term Care.

Based in Dallas, we strive to achieve this goal through offering professional development, board certification, and clinical expertise related to the promotion of health and wellness of individuals in the Long Term Care (LTC) and Post-Acute Care (PAC) continuum.

We support our members through Networking, Education, Current Resources and Best Practices in the LTC and PAC fields to give the aged a caring and compassionate environment.

our core values

Exceptional Customer Experience

Quality care begins in the hands of the caregiver. We believe this happens both in a hospital room and while engaging in educational advancement. We strive to create an exceptional customer experience so that every Nurse and Medical Professional moving through our association is better from their experience and can then translate that care into their professional work.

We place a high importance on Honesty and Ethically sound operations, which translates into how we manage our organization, how we instruct our students, and how we practice Nursing.

Diversity and Inclusion

We recognize that all backgrounds have value and do not withhold membership or certification based on race, gender, or other discriminatory practices.

Interprofessional Collaboration

We believe in sharing knowledge. We aim to develop relationships that work and improve health outcomes for professionals, students, and patients.

Professional Advancement

The more you know, the more you do. We emphasize continued learning because it makes you better and enables you to contribute excellently to your medical center and the Medical field.

TXADONA mission includes the development and promotion of ethical principles and practices within the Long Term Care Continuum; service to those who work in the Long Term Care Continuum; and promotion of quality of care for those individuals in the Long Term Care Continuum.

“We are dedicated to growing Nurse Leaders in the Long Term Care Industry.”
